2024 Buckle Up New Mexico Recertification Training @ Sandia Resort

The annual Buckle Up New Mexico (BUNM) Recertification Training will be held March 13-14, 2024, in Albuquerque.

Registration for this training is limited to current technicians. All applications will be reviewed, and each applicant will receive an acceptance confirmation letter. If your application is not accepted, you will receive a full refund of any submitted payment. To complete the online application, visit  https://shop.safernm.org/bunm-2024-training-registration

Two payment options are offered for registration:

  • $200.00 (early registration through February 1, 2024)
  • $225.00 (regular registration from February 2 – February 29, 2024)

Registration includes:

  • Accredited CPS recertification workshops
  • BUNM Recertification Training resource material
  • Day one refreshments and day two meals
  • Double occupancy for attendees traveling more than 60 miles from their workplace
  • If you decline to share a room, you must make your own lodging arrangements

To maintain certification, Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) are required to earn six Continuing Education Units (CEUs) every two-years. This training offers the six CEUs required for Safe Kids Worldwide technician recertification. The BUNM Training provides CPS best practices and education to support traffic safety and occupant protection programs throughout New Mexico. We will be hosting a car seat clinic as well, which is intended as an opportunity for CPSTs to work with Certified CPST Instructors and to complete the seat sign-off requirements necessary to maintain certification.

The 2024 BUNM Recertification Training will be eligible for CEUs or contact hours through the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy, the New Mexico Emergency Medical Services Bureau, and the Emergency Nurses Association. The Emergency Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

All attendees are required to register and pay online. The deadline to register to receive the early registration price is February 1, 2024. The deadline to register to attend the training conference at the regular price is February 29, 2024.
