Law Enforcement Coordinators' Symposium For over a decade, Safer has been dedicated to working with New Mexico law enforcement agencies to promote the ODWI and OBD programs. As part of this commitment, Safer hosts an annual Law Enforcement Coordinators' Symposium for all participating agencies. The two-day symposium provides an opportunity for program coordinators to hear critical program-related information from the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the NMDOT, TSB (NMDOT TSB). Each symposium also features presentations from traffic safety and injury prevention advocates from the public and private sectors, such as AAA New Mexico and the District Attorney's Office. Attendees receive the latest administrative and legislative updates, and have the opportunity to earn continuing education units through training sessions presented by Safer.
