Child Safety Seat Clinics As part of a general commitment to Child Passenger Safety, the NMDOT, TSB and Safer host child safety seat clinics statewide. Child safety seat clinics offer a free and convenient opportunity for parents and caregivers to have their child safety seats inspected and installed. At clinics, parents and caregivers have access to personal instruction from certified technicians on the proper selection and use of their child safety seats. Child safety seat clinics differ from Fitting Stations in that they are usually one-time events at unique locations and appointments are not made. Clinics are "first come, first served" events.
