Members
Mark McCracken,
IPRC Administrator,
joined Safer on
July 31, 2006. He is a twenty-one year veteran of the New Mexico
State Police. He retired in 2003 as Lieutenant/Assistant District
Commander for the Albuquerque District. Mark has more than
16 years of management experience, and is a graduate of Northwestern
University School of Staff and Command. As Administrator of the
IPRC, he is able to utilize his management skills and facilitate
growth. Since 1986, Mark has served as a certified instructor
through the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy. He has instructed
in a variety of fields related to law enforcement, and was the first
active law enforcement officer to become certified as a Child
Passenger Safety technician. Mark has assisted with programs
related to Safer New Mexico Now since 1996. He has
always had a passion for injury prevention. Mark received his child
passenger safety instructor certification in April
1998.

Nena Mazire,
Resource Coordinator,
has been with Safer since 1991. She earned a Bachelor of Arts
Degree in Hotel and Tourism Administration from the University
of Colombia, South America. This dedicated team member is trilingual
in English, French and Spanish, thereby enabling Safer to reach
the Spanish-speaking populace. She develops translations of resource
center materials and assists Spanish-speaking clients. Nena has
been a certified car seat technician since 1995 and received
her Spanish-speaking instructor certification in September 2003.

Eileen Rios,
Traffic Safety Project Coordinator, administers the ODWI and OBD programs
in cooperation with the TSB. She is responsible for planning,
organizing and coordinating all aspects of the OBD/ODWI programs,
which includes data analysis, report development, reimbursement
claims, and the coordination of meetings and
materials. Eileen serves as a liaison to the participating law
enforcement agencies and the law enforcement contractors. With
extensive software knowledge and the understanding of database
management, Eileen serves as the primary data support team member
for both locations. Prior to joining Safer, she worked as a legal
assistant, an administrative assistant, and a planner for the New
Mexico Department of Public Safety, and is well known throughout the
law enforcement community. Contact

Cristin Crowther, Materials
Coordinator, earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from
the University of New Mexico with a concentration in Family
Studies. Prior to joining the Safer team, Cristin worked at
a local domestic violence shelter where she coordinated therapeutic
and academic services, and led activities and support groups for the
children and families. She also held positions in the quality
improvement and utilization review departments at a residential
treatment center for adolescents. As Materials Coordinator, Cristin
coordinates the shipping and receiving of materials distributed
through the Resource Center. Cristin received
her child passenger safety technician certification in March 2006.
