which promote the use of law enforcement, marketing campaigns,
media relations, training, and advocacy to increase occupant
protection and decrease injuries. Safer has statewide name recognition
as well as a solid reputation for taking on tough, innovative,
worthwhile projects aimed at reducing injuries and promoting
safety. Safer is an effective voice in acquiring cooperation
from law enforcement personnel, healthcare professionals, grassroots
activists, educators, and caregivers while disseminating information
to the citizens of New Mexico. It is evident that Safer has played
a significant role in improving safety for the families of New
Mexico.
Safer has established
three divisions: Law Enforcement, Community Education and Outreach,
and the Injury Prevention Resource Center. The primary objectives
are to 1) coordinate enforcement, engineering, and education
