Mark McCracken joined Safer on July 31, 2006. He is a twenty-one year veteran of the New Mexico State Police. He retired in 2003 as Lieutenant/Assistant District Commander for the Albuquerque District. Mark has more than 16 years of management experience, and is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Staff and Command. As Administrator of the IPRC, he is able to utilize his management skills and facilitate growth. Since 1986, Mark has served as a certified instructor through the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy. He has instructed in a variety of fields related to law enforcement, and was the first active law enforcement officer to become certified as a Child Passenger Safety technician. Mark has assisted with programs related to Safer New Mexico Now since 1996. He has always had a passion for injury prevention. Mark received his child passenger safety instructor certification in April 1998.
